History of the Covina Chapter, NSDAR

The Covina Chapter, NSDAR, was organized on November 17, 1914, in the town of Covina, California. There were 12 charter members. The founding regent was Mabel Curtis. The charter members were Ethel Stair Anderson, Phoebe Brown, Martha Alberta Crook, Ethel Hempstead Curtis, Mabel Hempstead Curtis, Carrie Griswold Elliott, May Evangeline Griswold, Emma Bellows Lipke, Liesel Leighton, Emily Leighton, Susie Pierce Nash, and Clydia Aikman Rice.
